去年Stern的一大变动就是新加入了两个一年的MBA项目：Tech，Fashion & Luxury。Stern在今年的申请季中，决定重新拾起11月的deadline（即，它的Round 2 deadline），并且决定增加一封EQ endorsement的要求。去年Stern采用了新的“视觉Essay” - Pick Six，似乎收到的反响相当不错，以至于Stern今年决定继续延用这个文书题目。

Essay 1

What are your short and long-term career goals?
How will the MBA help you achieve them?

(500 word maximum, double-spaced, 12-point font)

Essay 2

Describe yourself to the Admissions Committee and to your future classmates using six images and corresponding captions. Your uploaded PDF should contain all of the following elements：

A brief introduction or overview of your “Pick Six” (no more than three sentences).
Six images that help illustrate who you are.
A one-sentence caption for each of the six images that helps explain why they were selected and are significant to you.

Note: Your visuals may include photos, infographics, drawings, or any other images that best describe you. Your document must be uploaded as a single PDF. The essay cannot be sent in physical form or be linked to a website.

Essay 解析

第一个题目是很直接的CG问题。我们就这个问题也做过一系列的分析（可参阅其他院校的essay解析）。很简单：你MBA毕业之后的职业规划是什么？你为什么需要MBA这个学位？MBA可以给你在职业发展上带来什么？并且最重要的是，Stern MBA可以带给你什么不一样的？（这里就是问的Why Stern啦）。

在讲述CG时，一定要注重你的目标的可实行性（尤其需要结合你之前的工作背景情况）。一个完整的CG要涵盖：Job Industry，Job Function，Job Location。针对short-term goal要能够直接回答在MBA毕业后你想去什么行业（industry）以及从事什么样类型的工作（function）；而long-term goal的话，就不用像ST那样需要具体化，畅谈下你对你未来职业的规划就好了（但需要结合你整体的career path，要realistic）。尤其是对想进行职业转向的申请人，在CG的可实行性上面一定要琢磨透彻。

第二个问题就是Stern去年采用的新题目：Pick Six - 挑选六张最能代表你的图片并配以简短讲解。这六张图片可以是照片、图表、或者一切别的视觉图像。不少申请人可能面对这个题目觉得无从下手，或者可以这样试想一下：如果你要在社交媒体（比如INS）上发照片，你会怎么处理？在处理这个问题上，你可以纵向深入（你的某个人生光环）亦可以横向拓展（你的综合品质） - 但都要能够表达展示出你的特色。
