What is the “Silk Road”?

The Silk Road was a long road. It connected (连接)China and Central Asia (中亚), and even Eastern Europe (东欧).

Where is this dish from?

Cucumbers came from South Asia (南亚).In early times, Chinese people called it “hugua (胡瓜)”.“Hu” means “foreign”. Later, its name changed to “huanggua (黄瓜)”.In some places, people also call it “qinggua (青瓜)”.
