Wang Lihua, a master artist of the time-honored Suzhou embroidery, is displaying dozens of her refined works at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, through May 19.
苏绣名家王丽华带来了几十幅她的作品,一直展出到5月19日。

Among them there is a 12-meter-long silk rendering of Qianli Jiangshan Tu (A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains), a 900-year-old Chinese landscape that drew flocks of visitors when being shown at the Palace Museum two years ago.
两年前故宫晒王希孟的《千里江山图》时,你们去排队了么?这次王老师带来了苏绣版,长达12米,是本次展出的一大亮点。

Wang utilizes meticulous needlework and sophisticated color matching skills to recreate the glamour of the painting that was produced in a blue-green style of classic Chinese painting.
王丽华用细致的针法和华丽的配色技巧、完美再现了这幅青绿山水穿越900年的深沉之美。

It took four years for Wang, working with her 10 students, to complete the work, using a variety of stitches and choosing proper shades of colors among tens of thousands of choices to present the elegance of the original piece.
她带着自己的十位学生、历经四年完成了这件作品,其中集合了各种针法,从几十万种颜色中挑选出合适的色彩,以重现原作的雅致。

You may have seen a lot of works of Suzhou embroidery. Professionals of consummate craftsmanship create on pieces of cloth a dynamic world of lifelike animals, flowers, beauties, gardens and pavilions.
苏绣名闻天下,你们大概也看了不少了。这些民间艺术家们用精湛技艺在布匹上复活了世间万物:花鸟鱼虫、仕女、亭台楼阁。

While Wang distinguishes herself by embroidering archaic bronze wares, jade objects and stone and gilt-bronze Buddhist statues. She has invented new stitches to present a lively three-dimensional effect and the subtle beauty of those antiquities.
而王丽华在古代青铜器、玉器、石像和鎏金佛造像上找到了自己的突破口。她发明新的针法打造出3D效果,让这些古物的静雅深邃在针尖上得到呈现。
