After the couple shared gorgeous pics from their Dec. 23 nuptials on social media on Wednesday, ET learned that the couple is officially married. Now, a source is telling ET how quickly the intimate event came together.

“Marriage has become such a topic of conversation in their relationship. Everyone is always asking them when and now it’s real, they did it! The gathering was small and intimate and rather spontaneous,” the source explains. “They did some quick pre-planning before the holiday and decided that they didn’t want a big elaborate wedding. They truly wanted to keep it a secret.”

“They just wanted the people most important in their lives present. It was so touching," the source adds. "They decided to do it at their home in Tennessee as they have talked about in the past."

The ceremony was a long time coming for the couple. They began seeing each other while filming 2010's The Last Song. They got engaged in 2012, only to split and then re-commit to each other in 2016. But the ceremony went exactly as they'd hoped.

A bombshell dropped on Sina Weibo on last Saturday night for fans of star couple Yang Mi and Hawick Lau. Jaywalk Studio, the entertainment and media company founded by Yang and which manages Lau, announced that the two divorced earlier this year after four years of marriage.

The announcement quickly spread on social media since both stars have a huge number of fans. Sina Weibo soon turned into their own personal battlefield. Within 12 hours, the announcement received more than 660,000 likes, 140,000 comments and 100,000 reposts.

The Aquaman star epically photobombed newlyweds while they were taking their wedding pics in Oahu, Hawaii, last Thursday. A photo shows the 37-year-old actor, standing behind a bride and groom. As they lean in for a kiss, Momoa hilariously uses his aquatic superhero's signature trident to jokingly poke the pair.

The moment was also captured by a couple of fans who were on the island and who also got the chance to take selfies with the actor. Momoa is in Oahu for a special screening of the latest DC Comics film, according to Hawaii News Now.
