針織面料的創意新玩法 | 香港新銳設計師Mandi Lam

來自香港的Mandi Lam本科畢業於針織品設計專業,她的畢業設計“Expose”系列，從圍繞世界不斷變化的概念中提取靈感,並通過針織面料工藝再設計來進一步研發創意廓形與織物的肌理表現形式。她這種創新的針織面料獲得美麗諾羊毛最佳運用獎。

STEAM 系列

'Steam' brings forward the impalpable desire to refusal of “form”. The invisible seeking flows amidst the visible mist, where no state is incessantly constant. One dissolves with another arises, more rapidly than flash could capture. Lingering questions on ‘identity’ and ‘eternity’,etc remain recurrent in the stillness chaos. A collection mentally inspired by the ambiguity and visually inspired by Hong Kong’s bamboo scaffolding and poster wall.

EXPOSE系列

E x p o s e is about revealing and acknowledging in a macro context. It is provoked by the complex. Hidden matters, muted beliefs and underlying voices are being brought or about to be brought explicitly. There the space exists both tangibles and intangibles, exposing at the same time. It concerns the significance of juxtaposition. Knitted loops are revealing from the knitted fabric as a metaphor. Our eyes are the microscopes, intensifying and discovering beyond the tangibles.

Fabrics are knitted and bonded with coatings containing prints or being covered with acrylic paint. This gives shapes and leathery surface to the knitted garment but the comfort and softness inside remains.
