从以上截图可以看出，现场观众并没有保持社交距离，佩戴口罩的观众也寥寥无几。

据美国有线电视新闻网CNN报道，活动组织方对观众座椅进行了捆绑处理，座椅都紧挨着。相关工作人员对此解释说，“如果有风暴或者火灾发生，而椅子又没有被捆绑在一起，那么它们很可能会堵塞道路，阻碍人们离开。”

特朗普因无视疫情的严峻形式而屡次遭到批评。自美国新冠疫情暴发以来，特朗普政府的疫情应对就饱受各方诟病。近期，《大西洋月刊》更是刊文称，“美国目前正在遭受的，是特朗普瘟疫。”

文章写道，“美国4月下旬的疫情高峰可以归咎于特朗普的无知和疏忽，但6月出现的第二个疫情高峰，则完全是特朗普自作自受。”

该文章细数了特朗普在应对疫情时的种种过失：

错失疫情暴发初期的抗疫窗口期；在不成熟的时机催促各州重启经济；重政治而轻科学，将不戴口罩作为其阵营的代表性特征；面对严峻的疫情形势，不采取有效措施，而是通过各种方式“甩锅”。。。

据美国疾控中心公布的数据，全美7月3日新增新冠肺炎确诊病例57718例，再次刷新了疫情暴发以来单日新增病例的记录。

此前，美国首席传染病专家安东尼·福奇（Anthony Fauci）曾表示，如果目前的趋势持续下去，即便美国每日新增病例达到10万以上他都不会感到惊讶。

眼下，除了美国之外，新冠疫情还在全球多地加速蔓延。3日，世卫组织紧急项目执行主任迈克尔·瑞安在疫情简报会上说，“人们需要清醒过来，数据没有说谎，现实情况没有说谎。”

当谈到美洲地区的疫情时，瑞安表示，尽管感染和死亡人数激增，但依然有太多国家无视数据。另外，他提醒各国不能无视疫情，并强调“问题不会自己神奇地消失”。

据美国约翰斯·霍普金斯大学的统计数据，截至北京时间5日14时，全球新冠肺炎确诊病例已超1127万例，死亡病例超52万例。其中，美国的确诊病例数正逼近300万例。
