ELTON JOHN 同日推出两张最新专辑《REVAMP》和《RESTORATION》
英国唱作人、作曲家、钢琴家、演员及时装达人Elton John，一直非常活跃于乐坛，去年适逢是他的70岁大寿及与他的长期音乐拍档Bernie Taupin合作的50周年，于11月特别推出合辑《Diamonds》，精选Elton从1970至2016年的心水之作，于英国得到双金唱片销量！
Elton John创作灵感不仅于此，事隔不足5个月，于4月6日双料推出两张专辑《Restoration》和《Revamp》，两张大碟均收录13首歌曲，全是Elton John和Bernie Taupin的经典作，邀请不同年代的歌手演绎并配上全新混音。 《Restoration》以乡谣音乐为主轴；《Revamp》风格则跨领域包含Hip-hop、Soul、摇滚和流行各类曲风，Elton John分享专辑制作的感受：「作品得到不同歌手宠爱并愿意花时间重新演译是我的荣幸。我和Bernie身为作曲和作词人，都非常高兴能邀到我们欣赏的歌手参与今次录制，他们都为作品带来独特的个人风格。这代表了我们的作品经过时间洗礼仍保持讨好新一代年轻乐迷的实力。我们非常感谢各位参与这次灌录过程的歌手和乐队。」
《Revamp》请来不少当今年轻歌手演绎，有Sam Smith、Lady Gaga、The Killers、P!nk、Coldplay、Florence + The Machine等等，当中为香港人比较熟悉的作品“Candle In The Wind”由英国红发情歌王子Ed Sheeran重新演绎，歌曲于1973年推出，原纪念已逝世的一代性感物玛丽莲·梦露，1997年Elton John再为歌曲增添愁绪音符，此版本又名“Goodbye England's Rose” ，献给受全世界爱载，不幸在车祸身亡的威尔斯王妃戴安娜。今次的版本大量加入Ed Sheeran拿手的木结他弹奏，为歌曲添上活力及生气，别有一番风味。
