After the end of regular season, KPL will begin its playoff on November 22nd. To make games more exciting and enhance the suspense of champions competition, Tencent adjusted the rules in this playoffs.

随着常规赛的结束，11月22日，KPL将进入到季后赛阶段的角逐之中。此次季后赛，为继续提高比赛的观赏性，增加冠军悬念，腾讯对规则进行了调整。

PLAYOFFS IS COMING

Firstly, the number of teams in playoffs will increase from 8 to 10, with 5 teams from the east and 5 from west, and they will play against in the following way. The first and the second team in each region will enter the winner group. The fifth, the fourth and the third team will enter the loser group with the loser in winner group, fighting against one by one. The survival will face the winner in winner group, to fight for the region champions. Finally, two region champions will take part in the final.

第一，参加季后赛的队伍将从以往的8支增加到10支，东西部各5支队伍，进行类似于擂台战的比赛。第一名与第二名进入胜者组，而第五名，第四名，第三名与胜者组败者将进行车轮战。最终的胜者将与胜者组胜者较量，决出分区冠军。两个分区冠军将会参与最后的决赛。

It is obvious good news for eStarPro and EDG.M, which got the fourth and the fifth place in East region this regular season. They had a very similar showing. The new rules released their huge pressure fighting for the qualification for playoffs. But it won’t be long before they meet with each other in the first round.

这项规则的制定，对于eStarPro和EDG.M是个好消息。两队在常规赛末段分居东部积分榜四五位，且成绩一直非常焦灼。新规的制定，让两支队伍不再有你死我活的竞争压力，但同时两队也将会在败者组的第一轮碰面。

It is also worth noting that there is a large difference between the strength of eastern teams and western teams. Besides two-time KPL champion QGhappy, RNG.M and Black-Ananas, who created the new winning streak, are also considerable team in East region. But the regular season champion in West region—Ts, is just a freshman in KPL, which made all the players doubt about whether the final will be exciting.

另外值得注意的一点是，在常规赛中东西部存在较大的实力差距。东部由两届KPL冠军QGhappy领衔，RNG.M以及常规赛创造连胜纪录的BA黑凤梨也都实力不俗。而西部最终排名第一的Ts战队，仅仅只是KPL的一年级生。这给决赛的观赏性打上了一个问号。

Secondly, the heroes which have already been used by your team cannot be used again in the first six innings of BO7. At the same time you’ll able to ban four heroes in each inning. If it comes into the seventh inning, a new game mode will be activated. Your opponent can’t see the selection of your team, and players can choose any hero without any restrictions. It is quite a big change.

第二，在BO7前六局比赛中，己方使用过的英雄，不能再次使用(对方不受影响)，每局红蓝方各4个Ban位；如果比赛进入第7局，将进入“巅峰对决”模式，己方阵容选择对方不可见，同时选手可以不受限制选择任意英雄。这是对比赛模式的一次颠覆。

The most immediate result we’ll find is that bp will become much more flexible. Jungle might be affected the most serious. Because Marco Polo and Gongsun Li appeared in almost every game in regular season. They are very agile, and they have strong consumption ability, which give them high fault tolerance. But in new rules, you can only use each of them one time. As the result, it’s possible for us to see more unpopular assassins or ADC heroes in jungle this playoffs. And it will be a challenge for all the junglers.

最立竿见影的是，我们不会再在季后赛中一成不变的bp了。打野位置恐怕会是第一个受到影响的。常规赛中，由于马可波罗与公孙离拥有多段位移，较强的消耗能力，远程推塔能力以及高容错率的特点，导致两个英雄的出场率非常高，十场比赛里有九场是马可波罗大战公孙离。而新规的实行，使得每支队伍都只能使用这两个英雄各一次。可以想见我们将有机会见到更多冷门的刺客或射手英雄登场亮相。对于各队的打野选手而言，这也将会是个挑战。

And in other positions, we'll see more heroes too. This policy will examine how many heroes professional players can handle on earth, and it forces them to think about more possibility they might even never think about before.

同样的，在其他位置上，我们也将有机会看到更多英雄出场。这项政策的实施，将很好地考察职业选手们英雄池的深浅，也能彻底抹除“一招鲜吃遍天”的可能性。

And the blind pick will add more uncertainty to the game. Both teams will choose what they are most familiar with. There will be no attribute restraint and no competition in bp. Players have to resist the huge pressure of win-or-go-home. And the only on they can count on is themselves. There is no doubt that blind pick will make the game more exciting and more suspenseful.

而第七局盲选，将会给比赛带来更多的不确定性。两边选手都将会选出自己最擅长的阵容，不再有属性克制也不再有bp博弈。选手得抗住决胜局巨大的压力，用自身的硬实力去赢下比赛。毫无疑问这将为比赛增添许多观赏性，也将会让比赛更具悬念。
