莫里斯·普伦德加斯特Maurice Prendergast(美国人，1858-1924)，生于纽芬兰，在波士顿长大。他的创作领域主要是水彩画、独幅版画(monotypes)和油画。他的后印象派风格画作有着鲜艳的色彩、扁平的布局及丰富的韵律。经过巴黎和意大利的旅行，他由一个学徒变成了一位商业艺术家；在诺曼底和缅因州的旅居也同样重要，经过这一时期，沿海的休闲场景成为了他创作的主要题材。
