From the legends of Heracles in mystictimes to modern day Olympic Games, sports arenas borne witness to human’spursuit of physical prowess and provided stages for communities to unite for asingle common purpose. In the century of digital age, with increasing virtualcontacts and lessening physical interactions among people, how would these buildingscontinue to serve their historical role of congregations and remain resilientin responding to increasingly complex social issues and human behaviors?

從神話裏的海格立斯到現代奧運會，體育場館一直見證着人類追求能力極限，同時也爲人們爲一個共同目標而團結一致提供了舞臺。在這個21世紀的數碼時代，人們之間的虛擬接觸越來越多而真實交往越來越少，體育建築該如何一如既往地擔當他們的歷史角色，並靈活地回應日益複雜的社會問題和人類需求？

- ANDREW JAMES（安德魯）-

Andrew is a director and shareholder of Populous and leads the company’swork in the Asian region. He has been working in China for the last 19 yearsincluding leading Populous design teams for the Beijing Winter Olympic SpeedSkate Oval, 2022 Winter Olympic Ski Park; Nanjing Sports Park, Zhuhai TennisCentre and Taipei Dome and Taipei Arena. He has lived and worked in Asia forthe last 25 years, overseeing Populous projects in China, Indonesia, Philippines,Taiwan, Korea, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand.

安德魯先生是博普樂思在亞太區的高級總裁及股東。安德魯先生在中國有19年的工作經驗，其中包括帶領博普樂思團隊主導北京2022冬奧會國家速滑館、北京2022冬奧會滑雪場、南京奧體中心、珠海橫琴國際網球中心、臺北體育場和臺北大巨蛋。他在亞太地區工作了25個年頭，期間參與及主持了大量此區域的項目，遍及中國、印度尼西亞、菲利賓、中國臺灣、韓國、印度、新加坡、香港、馬來西亞和泰國。

- LI XINGGANG（李興鋼）-

Working as Chinese side chief designer of the “Bird’s Nest”, the mainstadium of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, he is currently the chief planner ofthe 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Games Yanqing Zone and chief designer of theDesign Consortium. Being engaged in architectural design and related study, heestablished the design philosophy and methodology，"Integrated Geometry +Poetic Scene（Sheng Jing）", which reflect the Chinese cultural spirit and solve the Chineseurban and architectural issues using contemporary concepts, techniques andmethods. Through his career, Mr. Li Xinggang has won various honors and awardsof architecture.

李興鋼是2008北京奧運會主體育場“鳥巢”的中方總設計師，現任2022北京冬奧會延慶賽區的總規劃師，和設計聯合體的總設計師。從事建築設計和相關研究多年，他建立了一套名爲“勝景幾何”設計哲學和方法論，運用現代的理念、技術和方法，來反映中國文化精神底蘊，並解決中國城市和建築的相關問題。在其職業生涯中，李興鋼曾獲得多項榮譽和建築獎項。
