Michael Jordan熱心投入社會公益中，把自己從即將於 2019 年上映的紀錄片《The Last Dance》獲得的收益捐給非營利孩童機構Friends of the Children，此次他投入了數百萬美元，幫助機構擴大規模，幫助更多孩童。

Friends of the Children 是一個提供孩童專業導師的機構，這些專業老師陪同期間最長可從幼兒園到高中畢業，幫助孩童成長、遠離不當誘惑。對於捐款一事，Michael Jordan 在聲明中表示：“這次奉獻對我來說很重要，我的導師相信我、並且教導我努力不懈精神，我要 Friends of the Children 的小朋友也可以看到他們擁有同樣的潛力。”

這並非喬丹首次捐款給 Friends of the Children，去年他便將 Nike 發售的 公牛隊 Jordan 球衣收益捐給該機構。而在本次 Michael Jordan 捐款後，預計 2025 年時，Friends of the Children 將可以拓展到 25 個城市，目前機構服務範圍橫跨美國、英國，共在 15 個城市擁有服務點。
