11月1日，民警通过细致调查掌握了该男子的行踪后便立即部署对其进行抓捕。当天中午，民警在邵东县城拖运城附近进行蹲守时发现：在此活动的一名男子与该案男子特征很相似。面对民警的突然而至，该男子猝不及防，并随后被民警一举擒获。民警接下来依法将其带回公安机关进行调查。
