Let’s check all of the keys on the calculator.

1. Turn on the calculator by pressing the ON key.

亦可将press替换为push，将key替换为button。

按ON键，打开计算器。

2. There are four types of calculation: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

一共有四种运算：加法、减法、乘法、除法。

(1) Addition 加法

One plus two is (is equal to / equals) three.

1加2等于3。

(2) Subtraction 减法

Three minus (less) two is (is equal to / equals) one.

3减2等于1。

(3) Multiplication 乘法

Two times two is (is equal to / equals) four.

Multiply two by two to get four.

2乘2等于4。

(4) Division 除法

Ten divided by two is (is equal to / equals) five.

Ten over two is (is equal to / equals) five.

10除以2等于5。

3. 4.5 reads (is called) four point five.

4.5读作四点五。

4. Press the one key, then the plus sign and finally two. Think about / guess what number will appear after I press equal.

按1键，加号，然后按2。想想（猜猜）我们按完等号，会出现什么数字？

5. Bingo! It’s three. One plus two equals three.

对咯！是3。1加2等于3。

6. Don’t press the keys too hard, you might break them.

别这么使劲按按钮，你该把它弄坏了。

7. The calculator doesn’t work anymore. Let me see if it’s low on battery.

计算器用不了了。我看看是不是电池没电了。

8. Silly me. I forgot it’s solar powered.

我笨了。我忘了它是太阳能的。

9. Let’s call it a day. It’s time to go to bed. We can play with it tomorrow when its power is restored.

今天就到这儿吧。该睡觉了。明天有电了再玩吧。

如果是早上，可以把Let’s call it a day替换成That’s all for today。
