光緒十六年(1890年)廣東省造光緒元寶“七三反版 ”樣幣(proof)共二套十枚，英國喜敦造幣廠打製，置於精美樣品盒內，此套錢幣圖樣依面值共分四種，正面中心爲“光緒元寶”四字，外邊環繞一圈英文，背面中間爲蟠龍，上爲“廣東省造”，下爲面值分別爲“庫平七錢三分”，“三錢六分五釐”，“一錢四分六釐”，“七分三釐”。和日後我國各省所鑄龍詳圖樣正面全爲中文，英文在龍圖這面正好相反，故錢幣學家稱之爲“七三反版”，另有試鑄機制制錢一種二枚。此樣幣是喜敦造幣廠爲廣東錢局雕模鑄造的全部幣種，保存極好，甚爲難得，存世僅見此例，極珍罕，完全未使用!
