這個習語雖然有rain這個單詞，但是和下雨可是一毛錢關係都沒有，（尤指病後）完全康復，十分健康。

你只要好好睡一晚上覺就會完全恢復了。

Be a breeze:to be very easy to do.

（常指出乎意料的）輕而易舉的事

例句：

You won't have any problems with the entrance test - it'san absolute breeze.

入學考試你決不會有問題——那實在是輕而易舉的事。

Be snowed under:to have so much to do that you are having trouble doing it all.

（因工作太多）忙得不可開交

例句：

I'm absolutely snowed underwith work at the moment.

Break the ice:to say or do something to make someone feel relaxed or at ease in a social setting.

這個用語已經有四個世紀的歷史了。不過之前的意思是“替某人清出一條暢通的道路走”，而非現在用於社交場合的減緩緊張氣氛的意思。由來可能是要從結冰的井中取水，因此必須“破冰”。另一種說法則是船隻若要在結冰的河面上通行，也必須“破冰”纔可以通過。說/做出打破僵局的言論或是行動者，成爲ice breaker(打破僵局的人或物)。

例句：

Someone suggested that we play a party game tobreak the ice.

Calm before the storm:the quiet, peaceful period before a moment of great activity or mayhem.

字面意思這個習語比較好理解，暴風雨前的平靜，指重大活動、激烈辯論或災難發生之前的平靜。

例句：

I like to get everything done before the guests arrive and relax for a moment inthe calm before the storm.

我喜歡在客人到來之前把什麼都做好，然後利用暴風雨前那一刻的平靜讓自己放鬆一下。

Every cloud has a silver lining:There is always something positive to come out of an unpleasant or difficult situation.

Cloud 和 silver lining 都是比喻用法。苦難就像是烏雲(cloud) , 遮住了陽光。而希望就好比烏雲盡頭那層銀色的襯裏 (silver lining)。中文釋義就指黑暗中總有一絲光明。

例句：

I got laid off from work yesterday, butevery cloud has a silver liningand now I can spend more time writing my book.

我昨天被辭退了，但是黑暗中總有一些光明，現在我有更多的時間寫書了。

Fair-weather friend:a person who is only your friend during good times or when things are going well for you but disappears when things become difficult or you have problems.

平時跟你稱兄道弟，但你一有困難就遠離的人，就是俗話說的酒肉朋友，不能共患難的朋友

例句：

She was afair-weather friendbecause she wasn't interested in me once I had lost my job.

她是個不能共患難的朋友，因爲我丟掉工作之後她就對我沒興趣了。

On cloud nine:to be extremely happy.

這個習語有點意思，字面意思是九層雲上，其實指的是極度快樂；欣快的幸福狀態。我們中文也有類似的表達，“九霄雲外”，原來中英文也有異曲同工之妙啊。

例句：

"Was Helen pleased about getting that job?" "Pleased? She wason cloud nine!"

“海倫得到那份工作高興嗎？”“豈止是高興？她簡直飄飄然了！”
