中國正式加入“新冠肺炎疫苗實施計劃”
9日，外交部發言人華春瑩就中國加入“新冠肺炎疫苗實施計劃”答記者問。
問：中方已正式加入“新冠肺炎疫苗實施計劃”。請問中方對此有何評論？
答：10月8日，中國同全球疫苗免疫聯盟簽署協議，正式加入“新冠肺炎疫苗實施計劃”。這是中國秉持人類衛生健康共同體理念、履行自身承諾推動疫苗成爲全球公共產品的一個重要舉措。
On October 8, China and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, signed an agreement, officially joining COVAX. This is an important step China has taken to uphold the concept of a shared community of health for all and to honor its commitment to turn COVID-19 vaccines into a global public good.
當前，新冠疫情仍處於全球大流行，嚴重威脅各國人民生命安全和身體健康。確保發展中國家有平等機會獲取適合、安全和有效的疫苗是中國一直關注的重點。中方鄭重承諾，中國疫苗研發完成並投入使用後，將作爲全球公共產品，優先向發展中國家提供。
Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic still poses a severe threat to the safety and health of people in all countries. China continues to focus on ensuring that developing countries have equal access to appropriate, safe and effective vaccines. To that end, we have solemnly pledged to make vaccines developed and deployed by China a global public good, which will be provided to developing countries as a priority.
爲此，中方同“實施計劃”保持着密切溝通，對加入“實施計劃”持積極態度。儘管中國多支疫苗研發處於國際領先水平並具備充足的生產能力，但我們還是決定加入“實施計劃”，目的就是以實際行動促進疫苗公平分配，確保爲發展中國家提供疫苗，同時帶動更多有能力的國家加入並支持“實施計劃”。通過加入“實施計劃”，中方也將同有關國家加強疫苗合作。
Therefore, China has maintained close communication with COVAX with a positive attitude towards joining it. Even when China is leading the world with several vaccines in advanced stages of R&D and with ample production capacity, it still decided to join COVAX. We are taking this concrete step to ensure equitable distribution of vaccines, especially to developing countries, and hope more capable countries will also join and support COVAX. China will also strengthen vaccine cooperation with relevant countries through the COVAX network.
中方將繼續同“實施計劃”各方一道，爲全球團結抗擊疫情、保護世界各國人民的生命安全和身體健康作出中國貢獻。
China will continue to work together with COVAX partners and contribute its share to the global fight against the pandemic to safeguard all human beings' safety and health.
