China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement took effect

Nantong issued the first Certificate of Origin

On 1st May, China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement took effect officially. On the day, Nantong Customs issued a China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin to Best Nori (Nantong) Co., Ltd. for a batch of roast laver which would be exported to Ecuador. It was the first China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin issued by Nantong Customs. With the Certificate of Origin, the export goods which were worth about 451 thousand yuan could have a tariff discount of about 13 thousand yuan.

China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement is the 20th free trade agreement signed by China with other countries. After the agreement took effect, tariffs were eliminated for about 60% of the tax items of China and Ecuador on the same day. Finally zero tariff products account for about 90% of the total tax items.
