Albert Camus once said that, no artist could live without reality. Art can question reality, but art cannot escape from reality. Compared with most mature artworks, the living

conditions and life stories behind the art production seem to be more intriguing. Taking from the first-person perspective, CAFA ART INFO is now presenting you with our latest micro video program,“Art Walk: Behindthe Scenes”.With a focus on individual artists’ life stories, we will take you on a tour to explore how an artist actually works and lives in real-life situations. This series will be filmed at a part of the artists’ studios at some art districts in Beijing. Each artist’s unique character will be revealed to our audience in a more realistic and tangible way.

阿爾貝·加繆曾說，沒有一個藝術家離得開真實。藝術可以懷疑真實，卻不能逃避真實。相對於成熟的作品來說，隱匿在藝術家背後的現實境遇與生活方式或許更爲神祕引人。中央美術學院藝訊網英文版微視頻欄目《藝術家生態圖錄》以記者第一視角切入，從藝術家個人的生活微話題出發，在趨近平視的視角中窺探其工作環境與生活狀態。首先基於中國北京部分集中藝術區的藝術家工作室進行走訪，每位藝術家的獨特個性在鏡頭之外徐徐顯現。

Hu Jing was born in Hebei province in 1986. He graduated from the Department of Printmaking at China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. Hu Jing has made numerous small-scale installation works. His works tend to have a strong sense of technical skill which is due to his childhood experiences with assembled model kits. As for Hu Jing, life is what brings him inspiration while creating. He embraces the life experience and emotions from others, yet he also attempts to find his own little space in the world.

胡靖，1986年生於河北省，2011年畢業於中央美術學院版畫系。胡靖創作了許多小型裝置作品，作品的製作技巧性較強，這與他從小愛玩拼裝模型有關。對於胡靖來說，生活是他創作的靈感來源，在人生百態中能感受到別人，也能找到自我的天地。

In Hu Jing’s works, you can always find some social hot spots. For example, environmental pollution, the living condition of people and food safety etc. Interestingly, in his works, Hu attempts to convey an optimistic attitude to the spectators. He never creates only for the sake of creation. Instead, the way he creates is more like writing a diary. In his series of work “The Room”, there appears to be tons of puppets, as a metaphor of the empty souls of the people who immerse themselves into vanity. Hu’s works blur the individual difference between people, in order to focus on living conditions in the current world. Moreover, his works can be seen as an objective reflection of people’s mental state, which are sometimes real, and sometimes hypocritical.

胡靖的作品中常會浮現一些熱點尖銳的話題，例如：環境污染、人類生存狀態、食品安全等，但他在作品中力圖傳遞給觀者的卻是一種積極的態度。他從沒有爲了創作而創作，而是用“寫日記”的形式進行創作。在《房間》系列作品中，出現了大量的人偶，寓意在流光溢彩的環境中享受的人們，其實只是一羣空虛的靈魂。這些作品模糊了人與人之間的差異性，凸顯的只是當下的一種生存狀態，以及對人們或虛僞或真實狀態的客觀反映。

Hu Jing likes to drink colorful beverages. Therefore, in 2016 he created an installation work—“Water—Such a Beautiful Thing”. In the era of the Food Safety Trust crisis, the beverages that are made of a variety of food colors are becoming an essential part of people’s life. Meanwhile, people are unconsciously becoming the subject of experiments for food testing.

胡靖喜歡喝五彩繽紛的飲料，爲此他在2016年創作了一件裝置作品——《如此好看——水吧》。在“食品信任危機”的時代中，由色素調製成的各色飲料日漸成爲了人們生活中必不可少的一部分，同時，人們也在不知不覺間成爲了實驗臺上的實驗對象。

It is worth mentioning that, Hu Jing and his friends together opened a music bar in Song Zhuang in the January of 2018. Since then, Hu Jing’s art creations have become part of his real life. In the following years, Hu hopes to make more small-scale installation works and prepare for his very first exhibition.

值得一提的是，胡靖和朋友于2018年1月在宋莊合夥開辦了一家音樂酒吧，於是胡靖的藝術創作成爲了真實的生活。接下來，胡靖希望可以繼續做好自己的小裝置作品，併爲未來的首次個展做準備。
