最近，河南通報1例新增本土病例軌跡，患者曾與無症狀感染者接觸，關於“無症狀感染者”的消息再次引發關注。

Asymptomatic COVID-19 patients refer to those who do not show any symptoms, including fever and cough, but their tests for the novel coronavirus are positive.新冠肺炎“無症狀感染者”指沒有發燒和咳嗽等症狀，但是新冠病毒檢測爲陽性的人。

Asymptomatic patients are not categorized as confirmed cases, because only those showing symptoms can be labeled as confirmed cases, according to the latest version of the COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment guidelines released by the National Health Commission.根據國家衛健委發佈的最新版新冠肺炎診療方案，“無症狀感染者”不能算確診病例，只有出現症狀的感染者才能被納入確診病例。

Asymptomatic patients could infect others, but are not the major source of the spread of novel coronavirus, according to the World Health Organization.世界衛生組織表示，“無症狀感染者”會感染他人，但不是新冠病毒的主要傳染源。

針對我國“無症狀感染者”的情況，鍾南山院士近期在採訪中進行了回應。

鍾南山表示：

The infection rate is usually very high of those who have close contacts with asymptomatic novel coronavirus carriers.一般來說，無症狀感染者對與其密切接觸的人的傳染率很高。

But the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is not increasing but reducing in the mainland, and that indicates China did not have many asymptomatic novel coronavirus carriers.但是中國近期新冠肺炎新確診病例數沒有上升，而是在不斷下降……這可以說明：中國還沒有大量的“無症狀感染者”。

There isn't any specific number on China's asymptomatic novel coronavirus carriers and more detailed and professional studies and research are needed in the following months.目前關於中國國內無症狀感染者的情況沒有具體數字，未來幾個月還需進行詳盡專業的研究。
