本片關於一個村莊的現實、傳統、命運與人們的心靈世界。這是一個城市化運動中即將被消滅的中國無數魚米之鄉中的一個。人們逆來順受，在前途未卜的混亂中繼續維繫着天地神人這一恆古秩序。這是一個關於中國鄉村世界如何在政治、經濟和生存的夾縫中博弈的故事。這部影片將當代的主題（如土地和政治）的描述，與信仰、女性等交織在一起。本片既有人類學民族誌的基礎，又是一部詩意的作品。

Thepresent condition, traditions and fate of a village and the spiritual life ofits inhabitants.This is a Chinese village in a very fertile and productive areathat is being destroyed through an urbanisation campaign. The people areresigned and compliant, in the unpredicted chaos they continue to uphold theancient order of Heaven and Earth, gods and humans. This is a story of how the Chinese village life is played out within the loopholes of economics, politics,and survival. The film combines deionsof contemporary issues like land and politics and intertwines these withreligion and women among others. It is built on a base of ethnological andanthropological studies, but is also a poetic composition.

影片簡介

這個地方是滇池東岸的宏仁村，我1974年第一次來到這裏。那時候我是一個知識青年，宏仁村當時是一個普通的農村，村子四周全是稻田與蔬菜地，還有藕田和水塘。上個世紀90年代，我再次來這裏做人類學田野調查。當時這裏還是農業區，但城市化的腳步已經越來越近。進入本世紀以來，在短短的幾年內，這裏變成了一個沒有耕地的村莊，最後成了所謂的“城中村”。在國家用城市化來消滅這個鄉土社區的時候，農民也用自己的城市化來應對沖擊。從2005年開始，村民們在老村莊的邊上，蓋起了一座現代化的居民區，村民將它稱之爲宏仁新村。可是誰也沒想到，新村建成的那天，就是拆遷開始的一天。

2010年5月，昆明市政府發動了大規模城中村改造，宏仁新村和老村都在被拆的範圍，宏仁村人從此走上抵抗拆遷的道路。我和一些同事和學生受村民的請求，也參與了他們的抵抗，這部電影，記錄了宏仁村民保衛他們家園的經歷。

Hongren is a village on the eastern shore of Dianchi, a like outside ofKunming, Yunnan Province. The region used to be surrounded by fields of paddyrice, vegetables and lotus. In early 2000s, the Eastern shore of Dianchiwitnessed the disappearance of arable lands. It has thus become an “urbanvillage,” an enclave within a megalopolis. While the rural community is beingexterminated by forced urbanization, the villagers had their own way ofurbanization. Since 2005, the villagers have been working to build a moderncommunity, adjacent to their old one. But the local government suddenly decidedto demolish this new community, on the very day of its completion.

A citywide policy was launched in May 2010, “urban village reconstruction,”which targeted places such as Hongren, both the new community and the oldvillage. The Hongren residents launched their resistance as well. A group ofanthropological scholars and students were invited to participate in theirresistance.
