Position #1:

In vivo Pharmacologist

Key areas of responsibility:

Take responsibility in various project supports and discovery/validation of new therapeutic targets in areas of diabetes, obesity, CVD and NASH, by leading in vivo pharmacology studies. You will plan and conduct in vivo studies, set-up, develop and evaluate new models and new technologies based on project needs. Furthermore, you will be expected to leverage the innovation culture, mentor colleagues, and promote the collaboration culture both internally and globally.

You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from many different scientific backgrounds both in China and international sites. You will be a key person in research projects and responsible for defining the direction of the in vivo pharmacology and/or ex vivo biology in the project. You will be the department representative in research projects where you are expected to seek influence based on the data you generate and by keeping up to date with the scientific literature.

You will be referring directly to the department head at Department of Pharmacology and Histopathology, and your main internal contacts in your daily work will be scientist colleagues, research associates, project members, and managers both in Beijing and international sites. Furthermore, developing and maintaining a strong external network is also going to be an important part of your work.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a relevant scientific discipline

5-8 years research experience in research and/or development environment. Extensive experience within pharmaceutical R&D is a plus

Demonstrated success in technical proficiency in the research field, expertise in in vivo pharmacology

Strong background, knowledge and skill sets in metabolic, cardiovascular diseases or NASH

Knowledge or ability in new technology establishment/application is a plus; Experience in data science, bioinformatics or mega-data analysis is a plus

Excellent track records of innovation, independence and scientific accomplishments of high value

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Fluent in English

Position #2:

Biologist, siRNA / ASO technology

Key areas of responsibility:

Take key responsibility in driving the future development of the siRNA / antisense oligonucleotides(ASO)technology platform within DBC, and use the platform to support various pipeline projects, to discover and validate new therapeutic targets in areas of diabetes, obesity, CVD and NASH. You will plan and conduct siRNA / ASO design, in vitro screening and coordinate team efforts including in vivo pharmacology studies to make conclusion on the efficacy and safety of new therapeutic targets. Furthermore, you will be expected to leverage the innovation culture, mentor colleagues, and promote the collaboration culture both internally and globally.

You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from many different scientific backgrounds both in China and in global sites located in Denmark (headquarter location), UK and USA. Extensive experience and in-depth understanding of siRNA / ASO technology and RNA biology

Minimum 2-3 years of postdoctoral training or equivalent industrial experience is preferred

Hands-on experience and biology understanding in one or more of the following disease areas is a strong plus: diabetes, obesity, CVD and NASH

Excellent track records of innovation, independence and scientific accomplishments of high value

Position #3:

Bioanalysis scientist, LC-MS

Key areas of responsibility:

Take responsibility in various project supports, represent the department in several projects as an expert within LC-MS bioanalysis at NNRCC/DBC. You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from many different scientific backgrounds both in China and in global sites located in Denmark(headquarter location), UK and USA. You will be responsible for developing and transferring advanced and robust LC-MS analytical methods for the analysis of peptides and proteins in plasma. Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry or related disciplines

2-4 years of practical experience from an industry or academic setting working with plasma bioanalysis using LC-MS methods

Experience with commonly used MS systems and quantitative data analysis methods and software

Experience with automation technologies is a plus

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Fluent in English

Position #4:

Postdoctoral researcher, gut organoid engineering for drug development

Appointment duration: 2 years, with the possibility to convert to full time employee

Key areas of responsibility:

The successful candidate will explore the emerging field of gut organoid in the industry setting. The project is aiming at building translatable in vitro models for the development of peptide/protein drugs and formulations. The project focuses on: 1) develop and characterize human gut organoid culture model; 2) apply this gut organoid model for peptide/protein drug lead candidate screening and optimization; 3) explore mechanisms affecting drug absorption through the gut. The project will be done in collaboration with external academic labs and biotech companies who are leading in the field of gut organoid. Responsibilities will include the design and execution of experiments, data analysis and presentation, coordinating collaboration with external partners, etc.

You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from different scientific backgrounds both in China and in global sites located in Denmark (headquarter location),UK and USA. You’ll be in close collaboration with external collaborators on this project.
